JACKSON HOLE

Why is Jackson Hole popular? Jackson Hole is the town closest to Grand Teton National Park making it one of the busiest towns in western Wyoming. In the winters, people come from all over to experience Jackson Hole Skiing while in Summer, people gather to hike and explore Grand Teton National Park.

Did you know...

Jackson Hole is located an hour away from the Park at Swan Valley making it a perfect place to explore for the day. We love Jackson Hole so we put together 5 date night ideas for you to do when you come stay with us!

If you haven't booked a stay with us but want to...check out our booking page and follow us on instagram for updates and exclusive content!

Now for the date ideas!

1. National Museum of Wildlife Art

The National Museum of Wildlife Art is located right across from the Elk Reserve as you drive north into Grand Teton National Park. You'll know you're there as you pass giant metal statues of wildlife across the hillside.

We've driven by many times but recently stopped to check it out ourselves. This place is the real deal. We spent about 2 hours roaming the museum and only got through 1/3 of the galleries! With over 51,000 square feet to explore, you and your boo will find the exhibits to be truly inspiring.

There's a beautiful outdoor patio that you can enjoy lunch on as you look over the Elk Reserve. You could spend 1 hour or 5 hours and have an incredible time at the museum.

The National Museum of Wildlife Art is open Sunday - Saturday from 10AM-5PM, the restaurant is open 11AM-2:30PM. Tickets are $17 for adults and $15 for Seniors (65+). Tickets can be purchased in advance or upon arrival!

For additional information and tickets check out their website here!

2. Go for an adventurous couples photoshoot in Grand Teton National Park

Experience the magic of the Tetons and take home incredible pictures. Exploring the Tetons can get overwhelming and capturing the beauty of the park can be difficult. Take the stress and pain away by hiring a professional adventure photographer who can walk you through every step of your trip! Ingram Smart is our go to photographer here in the Jackson Hole area. Ingram is an elopement photographer here in Grand Teton National Park and knows the park like the back of her hand. Ingram will plan and coordinate your photoshoot exactly to your needs and wants so that all you have to do is show up!

We took our whole family to Grand Teton National Park in April and brought Ingram along with us. Here are some of our family photos from our time together!

Check out Ingram's website and mention us (theparkatswanvalley) in your inquiry forum for a special adventure package. (click image below!)

3. Float Tanks

After trying float tank for ourselves, we are convinced that everyone needs to have the opportunity and experience of a float tank. Healing Waters Therapeutic Float Center in Jackson Hole is a great relaxing date night that can reset, revive, and inspire you.

What is a floating?

"Float therapy provides a safe, isolated environment that gives the sensory/nervous system a break from external stimuli. This allows the body and brain to effortlessly ease into a deep state of natural relaxation."

Healing Waters Therapeutic Float Center offers 60 and 90 minute float sessions as well as another spa service, infrared sauna. Depending on your float time, pricing starts at $75/person and can be viewed on their booking calendar via their website. (below) Healing Waters Therapeutic Float Center is open 10AM-6PM Tuesday-Sunday by appointment only.

4. Horseback riding in the Tetons

For those wanting an adventurous date night, give horseback riding a try! There are many companies in the Jackson Hole area that offer horseback riding. This is our first summer here so we're dying to get out ourselves!

We'll check back with you with our reviews but we recommend these top rated Horseback Riding companies! Prices start around $70 depending on the ride you choose and the company. Keep in mind some of the more scenic views do require some horseback riding experience.

4. Enjoy Downtown Jackson Hole

Exploring downtown Jackson Hole can be a great date night for people wanting to save money but still get the "Jackson Hole Experience." While there's lots to do downtown, here's some shops and restaurants to check out.

First thing you've got to know is where to park. During the summer you can park on the streets but there is a free parking lot located about 3 blocks from downtown that is a great place to park. (150 W Simpson Ave, Jackson, WY 83001 This parking garage does have ev chargers.) Once you have parked now the next thing to do is choose where to go next!

If you're hungry, try these restaurants out!

If you're in the mood to shop check out shops around town square. From Pendleton to cute tourist shirts, downtown Jackson Hole has something for everyone. Don't forget to take a picture under the antler arches!

5. Enjoy a Grand Teton sunset

The sunsets over in Grand Teton National Park never disappoint but finding a place to sit and watch them can be challenging. Here's a couple places where you can go to enjoy a peaceful sunset.

  • Black Tail Butte Peak Trail - This 6.5 mile out and back trail can be hiked as a date night or simply hiked to a point where you enjoy the view of the Tetons. You can even grab a pizza from Pinky G's and sit in your car and enjoy a beautiful sunset.

  • Teton Point Turnout - 6 miles north of Moose Junction on Hwy 26/89/191

  • Signal Mountain Summit - From the entrance of Grand Teton National Park at Moose Junction, drive 16 miles north and take a right onto Signal Mountain Road. From there drive 5 miles to the summit where there is an observation area. Feeling adventurous? Hikers can take a 6.8 mile trail to the top starting from Signal Mountain Lodge.

  • Blacktail Ponds Overlook - This is a pullout/overlook on HWY191 just across from Antelope Flats Road. Here you can see a beautiful sunset and wildlife.

We hope to see all your date night adventures as you explore Jackson Hole. Don't forget to follow us on instagram and subscribe to our newsletter for exclusive content!
